Keeping the market way of life in the family is what Mark Burrows is all about. I’ve been here for over 40 years I plan to be here for another 40 years.

No matter how rough the weather or the economic seas, he's back every day waiting to bathe in warmth of human sunshine that his regular customers bring.

He and his wife Derya lives and breathes trading and have two stalls selling kitchen and homeware goods.

"We can compete on price and offer great service you won't get anywhere else," he smiles.

"We have lots of loyal customers and I am doing all right.

Being a third generation business. Marks family history from Cheltenham Worcester Brambles has always been in the trade. Mark having four sons and one daughter, is hopefully the family will carry on trading the Birmingham market for many years to come.
